AIDS Project New Haven appoints Christopher Cole New Executive Director

New Haven, May 20, 2008—AIDS Project New Haven announces the hiring of Christopher Cole as new Executive Director.   Cole, who recently moved to Connecticut from Los Angeles, CA, has spent the past fifteen years raising millions of dollars for AIDS Service Organizations throughout the country.

“I am thrilled to be in New Haven, leading a community-based AIDS Service organization and continuing to serve those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS as well as increase awareness”, Cole said.  “I am HIV positive myself and after spending fifteen years traveling around the country, and most recently splitting my time between San Francisco and Los Angeles leading AIDS/LifeCycle, it’s time to settle down, focus on my health and continue to use my passion and personal experience to serve those living with HIV and AIDS and increase awareness, education and prevention”.

Cole takes the helm of AIDS Project New Haven as Ellen Gabrielle retires after leading the organization and serving the community over the past 12 years.  Gabrielle said, “Chris’ track record and passion leave her relieved she is leaving the agency in good hands”.
