STOP THE $3 MILLION PROPOSED CUT TO AIDS SERVICES!!

In their 2009-2010 budget the CT Department of Public Health proposed to cut $3,094,565 from the AIDS Services line in the Connecticut budget.  In $2007 the legislature added $2.5 million to the budget which was to make up for the devestating loss of $3.3 million in federal Ryan White funds in 2007.  The Governor directed all state departments to cute 10% out of their budgets.  The cute DPH proposed is 40% of the AIDS Services line, and represents a 31% cut of ALL cuts proposed by DPH.

Please take a moment to call Governor Rell with this simple message:

"Stop the $3 million proposed cut to AIDS Services by the Department of Public Health!  People with AIDS are not expendable".
