APNH & Community Support Groups

APNH houses several support groups facilitated by APNH staff. In addition, APNH provides space for community-based groups to hold support oriented groups at APNH offices located at 1302 Chapel Street in New Haven.

 

APNH Staff Facilitated Groups

 

 

WOMEN EMPOWERED – a support, social and educational group for women who are living with HIV. Meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 11:30 AM in person at APNH. Contact Erica with questions: 475-441-7030

 

 

POSITIVE VOICES – a support group for men living with HIV. Meets every Wednesday from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in person at APNH. Contact Rich with questions: 475-441-7031

 

 

BODY, MIND, SPIRIT – a support group for the transgender community. Meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM in person at APNH. Contact Nadine with questions: 475-441-7034

 

Community-Based Groups at APNH

 

 

Crystal Meth Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other, so they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from addiction to crystal meth. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using. There are no dues or fees for CMA membership. CMA’s Beginners Meeting – “Breaking Good” meets Sundays, 6:30-7:30 PM. This group gives family members impacted by the substance use of a partner, or family member a safe space to explore how they are impacted by addiction and develop safe coping strategies in taking care of themselves. For more info, please contact Rich, LCSW @ 475.441.7031
