How do we spend our fundraising dollars?

Due to the support of our generous sponsors, 80% of our fundraising dollars go directly to support the following programs.

Our Caring Cuisine meal delivery program provides nutritionally appropriate home delivered meals to individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families. Thanks to your support we have been able to expand the Caring Cuisine program to include people living with other chronic illnesses. For $1.50 per meal we feed over 100 individuals through out the state of Connecticut each and every day.

Our Medial Case Managers work with individuals living with HIV/AIDS to ensure that they have quality access to care and the assistance they need to overcome the barriers they may face in being fully engaged in their healthcare and well being.

Our HIV/AIDS Prevention Staff are engaging at risk individuals throughout the community to educate and empower them to lower their risk and prevent the further spread of HIV.

Our Mental Health Providers help clients identify and manage the stress and emotional challenges they face. Administered by a team of caring and capable professionals, this comprehensive program seeks to improve each individual’s quality of life. The Substance Abuse Aftercare Program offers relapse prevention services to clients, affected family members, and their caregivers. In addition, the support groups, Positive Voices and Women Empowered, provide essential support services and HIV and safer sex information.

AIDS Project New Haven offers Alternative Therapies in the form of Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Yoga, and Healing Touch to people living with HIV/AIDS. Once given permission by their primary care provider, individuals may work with both a registered nurse and a Connecticut licensed massage therapist by appointment.

Combining both access to public transportation and our private van service, AIDS Project New Haven’s Transportation Program seeks to eliminate transportation as a barrier to care. By providing free bus passes to eligible clients or by transporting clients in the Spirit of Life van, this program supports clients’ ongoing participation in HIV primary care and supportive services.

AIDS Project New Haven is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
