Black Queer Women Affinity Group

May 7, 2026

The Black Queer Women Affinity Group at APNH is a community member led space to make connections, find support, and just be. We’ll gather monthly to connect, share our experiences, try new things, and talk about everything—from the joyful to the tough. Most importantly, we’ll laugh, celebrate one another, and be held. Come as you are, bring your whole self, and let’s build together.

Note from the group facilitators:

"For us, “queer” is both political and personal. It includes people who are non-cisgender and/or non-heterosexual, as well as a rejection of norms that continue to oppress us—expectations around gender performance, body and beauty standards, sexual desires, and behavior. By including “queer” in our group’s name, we aim to signal a rejection of strict boundaries around gender identities that have never truly served any of us."
